Resumen

Parkour is the focus of this chapter. Traditionally, parkour is not something that young people practice. When they do try, they discover opportunities to explore the environment and the limits of their body in a natural and positive way. Starting from the experience of an expert practitioner and educator, this chapter underlines fundamental factors that contribute to the development of a positive attitude towards movement in children, adolescents and young adults. Such factors include: personal challenges, positive atmosphere and social support. These enhance a positive perception of competence, leading to intrinsic motivation and voluntary participation.
